About the role
Microsoft is looking for a motivated intern to join its hardware engineering team in Bangalore. You will help design, develop, and evaluate electronic components, work on device specifications, and assist in troubleshooting hardware issues that affect Azure services.
Responsibilities
- Support the creation of robust, scalable and secure hardware designs and verification plans for defined products.
- Interpret device specification sheets and incorporate test requirements into documentation.
- Innovate ways to visualize and communicate user experiences for hardware features.
- Assist in fleet‑scale triage of server, storage, networking and platform issues impacting Azure.
- Analyze telemetry, crash dumps, firmware logs and hardware health signals to uncover failure patterns.
- Participate in debug and validation activities across silicon from multiple vendors, including CPU, GPU, memory and accelerators.
Eligibility
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Must have at least one academic quarter/semester remaining after the internship.
- Familiarity with embedded programming and concepts in C, C++, or C# is preferred.
